The northernmost police service in Germany, the Polizei Schleswig-Holstein, uses a variety of vehicles for the execution of duties.
Streifenwagen – Patrol Vehicles
Photographed at an incident near Elmshorn, Kreis Pinnederg:
Boote der Wasserschutzpolizei – Marine Police Service Boats
The “Bussard”, photographed in Kiel:
The “Steinburg”, photographed in the harbour of Glückstadt (Kreis Steinburg):
The “Helgoland”, photographed in the harbour of Büsum (Kreis Dithmarschen):
Werbefahrzeug – Public Relations Vehicle
A Citroen 2CV made up in police livery, but with the special markings “Polente” (a play on words … German police are often called the “Polente”, which is similar to “cops”, and the 2CV was nicknamed the “Ente”, literally “duck”, hence a puck in police service):
Sonstige Fahrzeuge – Utility Vehicles
Mercedes light truck with box body – officially belonging to the police school, but also used for transporting the 2CV “Polente” (see above) over longer distances.
